There will be over 40 workshop sessions at the camp – see below for the outline programme (subject to change). The order of listing does not reflect exactly when on the day the session takes place. A full schedule will be sent to participants and posted on our website very soon.

Several slots are being held open for sessions that people coming to the camp want to organise.

Every morning starts at 9.30am with a camp meeting where everyone is welcome to contribute.

There will also be: playreading, DIY acoustic music, an evening of poetry for Adrian Mitchell, Spinning Yarns for Peace and other storytelling, Felt making, DJing, a talent show and film screenings. And there will be plenty of time for walks, bike rides and relaxation in the beautiful Vale of the White Horse countryside.

There is a children’s area running throughout the camp.

Morning: either “collectively putting up the last structures” or “collectively helping our host with his organic farm”.

Afternoon workshops: Protest Camps with Faslane Peace Camp / Chomsky’s Politics (session 1: US foreign policy; session 2: the mass media) with Milan Rai, author of Chomsky’s Politics / Introductory facilitation and consensus (Emily Johns, Peace News co-editor) / Building a radical peace movement / Drawing session with Emily Johns, Peace News co-editor.

Evening entertainments include play-reading.

Friday:

Morning whole camp discussion: “Why did we fail?  Did we fail? The invasion of Iraq in 2003.”

Afternoon workshops: Exploring Consensus with Seeds for Change / Improving Facilitation with Seeds for Change / Chomsky’s Politics (session 3: strategy) with Milan Rai) / Activism for the long haul/avoiding burnout with the Activist Trauma network / Israel Palestine with Jenny Linnell of International Solidarity Movement and Adam Twine [both recently returned from Palestine] and others / Stop the DSEi arms fair! / Calm interventions for resistance / How to set up a housing co-op / Anti-Militarist Network/NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Edinburgh / Drawing session with Emily Johns, Peace News co-editor.

Saturday:

Morning workshops: Trident replacement with Faslane Peace Camp / Islamophobia and the “war on terror” with Maya Evans and the Campaign against Criminalising Communities / Civil liberties and freedom to protest with Repeal SOCPA, Open Democracy and others / Radical climate action / NVDA training with Seeds for Change.

Afternoon workshops: Libertarian and Home Education with David Gribble and Leslie Barson / Strategy skills with Seeds for Change / Recent history of the animal rights movement with two experienced activists / Samba workshop / Worker’s control and Parecon with Mark Evans, Project for a Participatory Society / Local anti-arms trade campaigning with Smash EDO, Brighton and Shut Down Heckler & Koch, Nottingham) / Counter-recruitment with David Gee / Training for nonviolent direct action with Seeds for Change / Tree-climbing for activists / Debating nonviolence

Evening entertainments include storytelling, felt-making, DJing and activism related film.

Sunday:

Morning workshops: Faith-based resistance with Susan Clarkson, Oxford Catholic Worker / Class and the Peace Movement with Milan Rai, Peace News co-editor / Using the system – local authority planning, legal cases and other opportunities with Andrew Wood, Juliet McBride and Emma Sangster / International perspectives on the arms trade with Almamy Taal.

Afternoon workshops: War News – Iraq Afghanistan Pakistan Iran with Gabriel Carlyle, Milan Rai and others / Lock ons and other tools / Nonviolent intervention with Jenny Linnell, International Solidarity Movement and Fida Qishta from Gaza / Inclusion with Antonio Nunes.

Afternoon whole camp discussion: Where next for the anti-war movement?

Evening entertainments include a talent show.

Monday:

Morning workshops: Lessons from the US Civil Rights movement with Gabriel Carlyle, Voices in the Wilderness UK / Peace Education with Anna Liddle, CND Education Officer.

Farewell ceremony and collective taking down of structures.
